GETTING TO KNOW US
First United Methodsit Church is a congregation of loving people who appreciate both the wonderful heritage we have been given, and the exciting future which lies before us.We were founded in 1860! But we are not stuck in the past.There are activities for everyone from age 1 to age 101.
Our Sunday Morning service of worship is probably best described as traditional. Yet we are open to a wide variety of worship experiences. We believe that what matters most in worship is not form but substance. As our mission statement reveals, in everything we do, it is our goal to make, grow and nurture disciples of Jesus Christ. We believe an important part of our mission is to reach out to the community in which we live. We wholeheartedly affirm the slogan for our United Methodist Church's Igniting Ministry Program: "Our hearts, our minds, and our doors are always open."
We invite you to be a part of all our ministry to the Wiregrass area. We are located at the intersection of Daleville Avenue and Highway 134, across from Bojangle's. If you do not have a church home, we would count it a privilege for you share the joy of worship with us!
